As much as I enjoy some of the beautiful colours palettes couples choose, I also love some of the fabulous black and white images that are taken at weddings.

Planting the new cherry tree this morning (with more plantings to come) got me thinking about the huge number and variety of trees we have established over the years.

We understand that trying to plan a wedding during lockdown is tricky, but it seems sensible to push on and do so, as there will be a large number of newly engaged couples out there all after the same dates! So if you have just got engaged… congratulations….and got for it!

It doesn’t seem five minutes since we were able to share the exciting news that Harefield Barn’s chief trouble maker, Holly, had become mummy to three beautiful little pups.

Exactly a year ago today, we were boarding a plane to the beautiful island of Cyprus for some  R&R after our first full season of weddings at Harefield Barn.  It was the first time in 32 years that we had taken two whole weeks away from the farm, so boy were we looking forward to it!

Well what a great night!  Saturday saw Harefield Barn come to life again with our fabulous Halloween Feast, and it was just brilliant to hear the place full of fun and laughter once more.

We love it when couples bring their own personal style to Harefield Barn and do all we can to keep things flexible so they can do so.

Now you’re asking!  Well yes you are!  I very often get asked for recommendations, including photographers, and this is probably one of the most difficult to answer.
