As with everything at Harefield, we try to keep it as local as possible, so we asked chainsaw artist Sam Ellis who lives just a few miles up the road to carve us an owl, and Barny is the fabulous result. 

There is a strange sort of silence at Harefield Barn.  From a couple of weeks ago until the Autumn, every weekend should have been full of the sounds of love and laughter as families gathered to celebrate one of the most glorious events in life – a wedding.

When choosing the flowers for a wedding, I wonder just how many people think about whether there is a hidden meaning behind their choice?

During our work-from-home staycation, we’re keeping in touch with our sister venues and suppliers and the whole wedding industry knows we’re in for a busy few months ahead.

Wedding rings mean many different things to different people.  For many couples, the wedding ring is a symbol and a public indication that they are married.

Saturday saw our first Open Evening here at Harefield Barn, and what a fabulous evening we had! As all the stall holders arrived, it soon became clear that the Barn was going to look amazing, and smell even better, with the fragrance  of mulled cider and delicious food samples wafting in the air!

Today sees the launch of a fantastic ‘Win a Dream Wedding’ competition and we’re very proud and excited to be a part of it!

When we set the date for our Open Evening, it did seem quite a long way away, but here we are, with just three weeks to go, and I’m delighted to confirm a wonderful list of people joining us for the evening.
